Cruise ship itinerar-half day
From Haifa: You will be picked up from the Haifa port in the morning by a professional tour guide with a luxury car. From here you will drive to the Holy City of Safed (Tzfat) - the site of the founding of Jewish Mysticism known as Kabalah. In Safed we will visit some beautiful synagogues like the Rabbi Abuhabs Synagogue and the Rabbi Luria ("The Ari") Synagogue. There you will listen to the guide as he tells you some of the miraculous stories that are very common in Safed. In addition to it's mystical tradition, Safed is also a renown center for Jewish art. You will have the opportunity to wonder the narrow streets of the old city from one gallery to the next taking in the beautiful work of the local artists and artisans including jewelry, Judaica and much more. Leaving Safed, we will drive west along the scenic mountains of the upper Galilee to Rosh Hanikra. From the top of this special nature site, on the border between Israel and Lebanon, we will take the cable car down the white cliffs to see the grottos. From Rosh Hanikra we will drive south to Acre (Akko) - a city that served as the capital of the Crusaders in the Holy Land 900 years ago. Once there, we will visit the Underground City, the Knight Halls, the Old City Market, the Harbor and the Templers Tunnel. Will will end the day with a drive up to mount Carmel to the take in the views of the stunning Bahai Gardens and Haifa bay.
From Ashdod: You will be picked up from the port in Ashdod and driven to Jerusalem via the strategic, historical stronghold of Latrun. Our first stop in Jerusalem will be on the Mount of Olives, an unbeatable location to take in the scenes of the Old City of Jerusalem and the best viewpoint to give you an historical, religious, political, and current event briefing about this complicated, and special city.
From the viewpoint we will drive down the Mt. of Olives, crossing the Kidron valley. We'll enter the Old City from the south, through the Dung Gate and visit the Western Wall (Wailing Wall). We will then have a chance to explore the famous Western Wall tunnels (must be booked in advanced). After exiting the Western Wall Tunnels, we will ascend to the roof of the Austrian Hospice in order to see the sky line of the Old City. Then, after a short visit at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, we will continue on to the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Cardo and the beautiful artisan's shopping center.
In the afternoon will will visit the new Holocoust Museum as well as the Children Memorial of Yad Vashem. Before leaving Jerusalem for Ashdod, we will drive through the area of the Knesset to catch a glimpse of the Israeli parliament.
